Zachary.......
-Today they were supposed to perform a spinal tap to check for any infections, this is a common procedure. They will not get any results for a couple of days.
-They are also in the process for putting in a PICC line, this will take the place of the central line that he has right now that is going through his umbilical cord. This is being done because they are in the process of moving Zachary into an incubator which is a step up!!!
-In the next few days they are planning on taking him off of the ventilator and putting him a CPAP, which is another step up!!
Mommy......
Kim was feeling VERY weak today because of her low hemoglobin levels. Kim is such a great mommy and gave all of her iron to little Zachary!!! So... they had to give her 2 blood transfusions this afternoon. She is already feeling a little better. She still has the infections and trying to recuperate from surgery. She was just about to go visit Zachary when she got off the phone with me so check in tomorrow to see how he is doing!!

Wow! Sounds like little Zachary is coming along quite well...I will pray for this trend to continue, so he'll be in his new bed & without that tube, so you can hear his cries and interact with him more and more...It was so wonderful to see him open his eyes, and boy, did he open them up BIG & Wide when he heard his DADDY'S Voice...What a strong little one ya'll have....Truly a gift from God!
Give Kim a kiss on the forehead for her, and bless her for all she's going through...Hopefully, she too, will gain strength and feel stronger & stronger with each passing day!
Kimmy.....I love you!! Zachary is growing and getting stronger day by day. YAY!!!! He'll be home before you know it! I'm so happy I got to see the videos. I'll get to see him soon. Hope your feeling better today after the transfusions. God is with you and Stephen and Zachary.
