Milestone Update

Again, our usual apologies for not posting as much as we'd like to. As you all know, being parents of a toddler consumes ALL of our time.

Here's a little milestone update for you. According to one website - a 21 month old should...

Most toddlers should be able to . . .
Start to learn up to 5 or more words per day - Easily!
Walk up stairs with some assistance - Without assistance!
Make structures out of toys or blocks - He loves to!

Some toddlers will probably be able to . . .
Start to learn up to 10 or more words per day - Oh yeah!
Show good signs of bladder control - Ha! Not yet. But we dream of this day...
Throw balls overhand - With both hands!
Open doors - As long as they aren't closed tight!

Some toddlers could possibly be able to . . .
Name people and pets when shown a picture - Easily!
Form short but complete and understandable sentences We aren't here yet, but he can string two words together if he really, really wants to.
Walk down stairs with some assistance - Yes he can!
Open and close doors - Close for sure!

Love to all!

A Tribute to Pops

Kim's Dad ("Pops") passed away very unexpectedly on 11/27/09.
We are mourning the loss of a man that was very important to many, especially to us.

A bit of Fatherly advice on a very special day.

Not losing a daughter ... but gaining a son-in-law.

Aveline and her Pop-Pops.

(Candid) Family picture time.

Zachary laying down with Pops.
Zachary playing with Pops.

Visiting Pops and Grandma Lynne in California.

The hat says it all.

Stephen and Pops ... cooking for the crowd on the 4th of July.
Pops and Grandma Lynne visiting us in Houston.
Pops and Grandma Lynne snuggling with our miracle.
16 pounds of brisket ... now that's what I'm talking about!
Pops was all about the brisket -
we even sent him one for his birthday this year.

All together now .... say "Food!"

Take care Pops .... You will definitely be missed around here .... now, and forever.
We love you, always.
