Our birthday boy!

Our big boy is now one year old!
We cannot believe it! It seems like in the last two weeks Zachary has been doing a whole bunch of new things! He now has a tooth coming in, we can see it and feel it! He can crawl, he can sit up from a laying position, he can pull himself to his knees and feet by leaning on something (or someone), he can walk a couple of steps while holding on to something. He's just so amazing!
Here are some pictures of the party we threw Zachary on Saturday. It was a lot of fun!

The cake and decorations!

Good news on the cardio front, a visit to the NICU and standing up!

Hi folks!

We've got the best news to share! Zachary went to see Dr. Petit, his cardiologist and we learned the the tiny hole in his heart (an ASD) has closed on it's own. We knew it would, we just thought it would take a couple more years. We are so pleased! His heart murmur is almost gone because his pulmonary stenosis (he had a valvuloplasty last May) is in the normal range now. Even better the PDA surgery that he had when he was three days old is a success (in May there was some indication of some leakage, but not anymore!). NOTE: If you click on the heart issues above, it will take you to a website that give an explaination of the condition.

After Zachary's appointment with Dr. Petit, we went to visit our great friends at The Women's Hospital. We visited Level II NICU, Level III NICU and the nurses in Antepartum. It's so hard to believe that this time last year, Kim was in the hospital trying so hard to keep Zachary inside as long as possible. He is such an amazing boy, he had such a rough start but is just doing so wonderfully well, we are so happy, so pleased and so proud!

Now for what you have been waiting for...new pictures! Zachary is learning to pull himself up into a standing position! He LOVES to stand! Enjoy the pictures!
