We're so sorry we haven't posted in awhile, but it has been such a busy time! Uncle Jeff, Auntie Rachel, Avie and Gamma Marla came for a long visit, Mommy went to a paralegal association convention in Beaumont, TX, Mommy and Daddy helped volunteer at the MS-150, plus Zachary's weekly gym class at The Little Gym, work for Mommy and Daddy and lots of work around the house and that is just in the last three weeks!
Our huge news is that Zachary is now OVER 20 pounds! Most kiddos hit 20 pounds around their first birthday or thereabouts, but Zachary is two years old and now that he is 20 pounds, he can can have a big-boy car seat and face forward so he can see where we are going. Here's a picture of his new car seat and him enjoying his favorite snack "Pirate's Booty."
Zachary has decided that he is too big for his high chair so here he is enjoying his lunch in his big-boy booster seat. Eating is harder for Mommy and Daddy to control, but Zachary seems to be eating more (hence the weight gain) so we are all for it! Notice we have two pictures of him eating, definitely a good sign!
Our big boy has also requested a "potty." We went to Target and he picked out a froggy potty but he thinks it is much more fun to put his rubber ducky in it than sit on it. He also likes to drag it around the house. So we are not working on potty training yet. We have time for that. We'll keep you posted.
Mommy and Daddy decided to plant new flowers in the front yard and Zachary was thrilled! He got out his beach shovel and bucket and helped! His favorite spot to help was in the holes where we pulled out the old plants (which were transplanted into the backyard). He's such a good helper!
He's getting so big! This is a picture of him running up and down the driveway, sporting one of his two favorite pairs of shoes...flip flops! His other favorite pair of shoes are a pair of red Mickey Mouse Crocs that Gamma Marla brought him.As you can see we now have a big boy in our house. He is doing awesome! He loves to sing, play with Mickey Mouse and Little Einstein toys that Avie handed down to him and he likes to color, count, read, do puzzles and play outside. He has an active imagination and is also now saying phrases. Our favorite is when he says "I love you" and "bless you" and we laugh when he says "totally awesome!" Mommy and Daddy are so proud of him!
Love to all!
