Quick update...

Sorry folks, we haven't found the camera charger yet so no new pictures this week (at least not today).

Zachary is doing well. Last Friday he went to the doctor and got his Synergis shot (to protect against the RSV virus) and the flu shot. Last Friday night he developed his first fever...it got up to 103.8 and Mommy's and Daddy's panic level rose comparatively. After three calls to the nurse-on-call, a sleepless night and a Saturday morning appointment with his pediatrician, Zachary is just fine and thankfully it was just a bad reaction to his flu shot. His fever broke Saturday evening and all was well the rest of the weekend. On Sunday, Uncle John, Aunt Betty, April and Ashton came by and we had a little cook-out and had a good time. We went shopping yesterday and bought his Halloween costume. I'm not going to spoil the surprise, you'll have to wait a couple of weeks for the Halloween pictures!

Zachary is now 12 pounds 15 ounces and now measures 24 inches! Yes folks, our amazing boy has grown just under a foot in just under eight months! Our two-foot tall little boy. Wow! He's certainly growing! He takes five bottles a day and has one bowl of rice cereal (mixed with breast milk).

Next weekend Grandma Marla is coming to town to visit and we are planning a trip to the pumpkin patch! We hope to have a get together with Brinson and her Mommy and Daddy next weekend if everything stays status quo.

Sorry for the delay, but we finally came across the cable that takes the pictures off the camera (we didn't mean to pack it!). Here's your weekly fix of Zachary pictures!


Last month we went to Women's Hospital to show off our big boy!

Here's Zachary with Blair, one of Mommy's nurses when she was on bed rest. Blair spent lots of time researching Mommy's numerous questions.

Here are Phyllis and Tammy. Phyllis and Mommy formed a close bond and Phyllis was in the room when Zachary was born. Zachary loved to burrow down inside Mommy when Phyllis put the heart monitor on.

See? He still burrows down for Phyllis. :)

This is Doctor Thompson. She is one of the NICU doctors that took extra special care of our sweet boy! She was so impressed to learn how well Zachary is doing and asked lots of questions about his follow-up appointments.

Here is just some of the great NICU, level III nurses and Dr. Thompson. They are truly miracle workers and we are so thankful for the wonderful care they give all the babies in the NICU.


Here's Nurse Sara. She took care of Zachary quite a bit. As you can see, Zachary is impressed with the ties to her yellow gown.


This is Jeanne, she too took care of Zachary a few times. She was an Nurse of the Quarter while we were in the NICU.

Superstar!!!

Just look at these pictures! Our Zachary is a Superstar!!

We are all doing well. Zachary is completely off his apnea/heart monitor and we will start feeding him cereal once a day, every day beginning next week! After a couple weeks of cereal, he'll get to try a new veggie every week. He is now 12.6 pounds and loves standing (with our support), sitting in his bumbo chair and chewing on EVERYTHING! That's about all, except we are moving into our new house on Friday! YAY!!!

In other news, we've heard that Brinson, Noah and Aubrey are all doing well. We can't wait for our own little NICU reunion!
