We've got lots to Catch Up On!

Hi Folks!

As usual, we've been very busy and loving being with Zachary. Here are some pictures to catch you up! Zachary is starting to learn that he has control of the volume of his voice and boy can he get loud! He is also starting to talk...he can say "Mama" "Dada" "Donna" "Light" "Duck" "Cat" and he can also make the quack sound that a duck makes. He's great at waving, putting food in his mouth, turning off lights and pulling up and walking (while holding on) to EVERYTHING! He loves playing with his cars, firetrucks and anything that he can move. He also loves turning the pages when we're reading books.

He is such a happy baby and brings us so much joy! As promised, here are the latest pictures of our Zachary.

Zachary loves playing in his bath

Like any boy, he loves to eat!

He can hold his own bottle now
(if he wants to that is)

His new trick...he's ready to take gymnastics!

We had a GREAT weekend with them!
Here's a treat for you...not one but TWO videos!

Having fun, chewing and waving and hanging out with Mama.

He's so good at getting the puff into his mouth!

We hope you enjoyed the pictures and videos. We'd love to hear from you. Love to all!

Meet Donna!

Hi Folks!

This is Donna. She is Zachary's new nanny and he absolutely loves playing with her. She's been his nanny for two weeks and already is a part of our family!

She is great with him and is steadily trying to teach him new things. We love having her around and we know that our sweet boy is in great hands while we are at work.

Love to all!

A Play Date with Aubrey

Hi folks!

It's been a busy week! Over the weekend Zachary had an overnight (his first one!) at Aunt JJ and Uncle Mike's house while Mommy and Daddy camped and assisted a cycling team/volunteered at the MS-150 bike ride (from LaGrange to Austin). It was hard work, but so much fun!

Also last week, Zachary had another play date with Aubrey (another one of his NICU buddies).

Here's Zachary looking at Aubrey
in his new favorite position - upside down!

We hope you are all doing well. Love to all!

Picture Time

A few weeks ago we went to Aunt JJ and Uncle Mike's house so that cousin Chloe and her husband Daniel could meet Zachary. Here are the pictures from that visit...

Happy Birthday to Noah!

Happy Birthday to Noah!

Yesterday Noah turned one! He had a rough ride on the NICU roller coaster and has come so far in his first year! We know his folks, Sami and Laura are overjoyed to celebrate this wonderful first birthday. It is so awesome to watch these kiddos go from preemie infants to big boys and girls.

Here's a great picture (lifted from Noah's Blog) of Noah after he enjoyed some of his first birthday cake!

Happy Birthday - you're such a big boy now!

Love to all!

Walking With Assistance ....

Here is a video of Zachary walking behind one of his toys. It is a little car that he can ride on or, as you can see in this video, it can be converted into a walker to give him some assistance while learning to walk. He is growing up so quickly and Kim and I are so proud of him and all of his accomplishments.

NICU Clan Party

On Sunday March 29th we had several of our friends over for our own little NICU party. These were friends that we met while Zachary was in the NICU at The Woman's Hospital of Texas for three months. We were all going through similar situations with our little ones at the time and we had all become our own support group through those very trying times. It was such a big help to have someone that we could confide in and share our stories, heartache, concerns, and our joy as our little miracles were fighting for their lives and clearing the hurtles the were thrown at them. It really was a very grateful bonding experience and we have stayed in touch with all of them.

The party was a lot of fun and it was so nice to see all of these little bundles of joy and watch them interact with each other. Everyone seemed to really have a good time playing with everyone else's kids and sharing all the new experiences with everyone. They are all getting so big.
