Yesterday Zachary went to his pediatrician, Dr. Gray. She is very pleased with how well he is doing. He is even advanced in some areas and on target with his corrected age in others. No delays...whoo hoo!! He's now 11 pounds, 6 ounces and measures 21 and 1/2 inches. He got his six month vaccinations and was none too happy! A couple of weeks ago we were told that we could start taking him out a bit so we've been enjoying getting out of the house a bit. Next month we start feeding him solid foods, rice cereal to start.

We all had a great time with Grandma Marla. She's talking about coming out in September and October too. We agree Grandma Marla, spending time with Zachary certainly is addicting!

This weekend we are going on our first Baldwin Family Road Trip! We're loading up and heading to Rockdale, Texas (in Central Texas) to visit more of Stephen's family. We have also been cleared to take Zachary on an airplane in November so we're going to visit Kim's family twice in November, once for Uncle Paul's wedding and once for Thanksgiving. Watch out world, Zachary's mobile!!

Birthdays!

Tuesday was Stephen's birthday. His Aunt Janice and Uncle Mike watched Zachary so Mommy and Daddy could go on a date. We went to Saltgrass Steakhouse...yummy! Here's a picture of the three of us when we came to pick Zachary up. He gets kind of fussy at night, but that night we think's it was because he didn't want to leave Aunt JJ and Uncle Mike!!

Wednesday was Grandma Marla's birthday. To celebrate she is coming to spend a long weekend with us. We can't wait for her to see how big Zachary is. She hasn't seen him in two and a half months and he's grown so much since then! We are all very excited to spend time with her. Look for new pictures early next week.

In the meantime, we are doing great. Zachary has rolled over from his belly to his back a few more times. Our NICU friends Ned and Lisa got to bring Brinson home on Tuesday and we are praying that Noah goes home next week. We are so excited for our anticipated NICU playdate/reunion!

Hi folks!

We hope that you all had a wonderful weekend. We had a great time this weekend. Zachary had a playdate on Friday night.

While pregnant with Zachary, Mommy made a friend with another mommy (named Marianne) who was pregnant with her son, Zakary (this is going to get confusing). We met through a mutual friend, also named Kim. Marianne's Zakary was born two months ago and on Friday night, we introduced the Z-Men to each other. Then Mommy and Daddy were pleasantly surprised when Kim stopped by to meet both Z-Men. Here are some pictures...

And the little one said "roll over"

Well, contrary to the little song, our little one did, not said! Yep folks, Zachary rolled over from his back to his tummy on Sunday morning. He continues to amaze us!

Last night we weighed him and he now weighs 11 pounds! Also last night, he discovered that he has a nostril (he found the same one three times!). Now we know that he has two nostrils, but so far Zachary has only discovered that he has one nostril, his right one. Yes, we realize that we are blogging about him putting his finger in his nose, but we love that he is more aware of himself. He is also now grabbing and holding small toys. Can I get a YAY ZACHARY??

Here's a picture we took of Zachary yesterday morning. Mommy and Daddy were getting ready for the day and Zachary was just chilling on his boppy in the middle of our bed, watching the news on TV. He definitely has the relaxing pose down pat!

Zachary went Krogering!

We took Zachary with us for his first quick trip to the grocery store (Kroger) last night. He seemed to enjoy it at first, then ended up falling asleep.

We have lots of good news to report on the other NICU babies, Brinson is scheduled to go home on August 19th, Ellie went home yesterday, and Noah is doing really well and should be going h___ soon too! We are so happy for our friends and their precious babies.

Last Thursday, we went and visited some of our friends
at Women's Hospital of Texas.
