Zachary's First Trip to an Aquarium and the Beach!

Hi folks!

We had quite the busy day today. First we went to the
Sea Center in Lake Jackson, about 25 miles south of Houston. The Sea Center is an aquarium and fish hatchery. We had a great time showing Zachary the touch pools, the fish and the surrounding wetlands. Since we were only a few miles from the beach, we decided to let Zachary test out his sea legs. We went to Surfside beach and had a blast!

Zachary loves to splash!

Playing the one, two, three jump game!

The Gulf of Mexico is licking his toes!

Walking with Mommy against the undertow.

We liked this beach and plan to come back!

Zachary on the boardwalk at the Sea Center.

Holding up the fish he caught...not really - it was a toy!

Father and son in front of a statue of a father and son
outside the Sea Center.

Zachary loves to explore...with his fingertips!

Zachary roaming around the aquarium.

He thought the chain was fun to shake.

With all the fish to look at,

Zachary preferred to bang on the benches.

He looks pretty mischievous here don't you think?

We have some videos of our time at the beach, but Bogger isn't letting me upload them. We'll try to get them uploaded soon.

Love to all!

A visit with two of Mommy's Special Doctors

Hi folks -

Dr. Gray is Zachary's pediatrician and she is awesome, but we wanted to introduce you to Zachary's Mommy's doctors who helped make Zachary possible!

This is Dr. Randall Dunn and Carmen, Kim's primary ultrasound tech (yes, she had so many ultrasounds she actually had a primary ultrasound tech). Dr. Dunn was in charge of Mommy's fertility stuff and while Zachary is definitely a gift from God, Dr. Dunn worked as one of God's messengers. Last week Dr. Dunn and Carmen got to meet Zachary in person for the first time. It was a special moment for all of us! Thanks Dr. Dunn and Carmen and Nurse Honey too!

This is Dr. Pinell. He delivered Zachary and took extra special care of Mommy and Zachary during Mommy's pregancy. He too acted as one of God's messengers, making sure Mommy kept Zachary in her tummy as long as possible. Thank you Dr. Pinell!

These are very special people to us and wanted to share their part in Zachary's world.

Love to all!

The Monkeys and Our Monkey!

Hi folks!

So on our trip to Cali, we took Zachary and Aveline to a small zoo called the Santa Ana Zoo. It's a small zoo, but it manages to house at least 50 monkeys there. With so many monkeys you would think that I would have gotten a picture of Zachary looking at one...well, you'd be wrong!

Here are the kids playing with/on a stone frog...

We still have more pictures to post...stay tuned!

July 4th - Cali Style

Hi folks!

It's been awhile, have you missed us? Well as most of you know, we went to Cali for a vacation to visit Mommy's side of the family. We have way too many pictures for one post, so over the next few days we'll try to post some of the highlights of our trip.

July 4th we had a great time at Pop-pop's house (that's Mommy's daddy).

Uncle Jeff and Cousin Aveline

"A shout out to all my peeps out there!"

Daddy has cool toys!

Hanging out with Great-Grandpa Nate

Aveline is so much fun!

Digging in Grandma Lynne's flower beds
(shhh! don't tell!)

Somehow we miss getting a picture with Pop-pop and Grandma Lynne!! Shame on the camera-person (which was mostly mommy!). Next trip- for sure!

Keep checking back for more pictures. Love to all!
