Well folks, Zachary did so well on the nasal cannula. He was on the nasal cannula for 36 hours before they put him back on the CPAP. He was breathing so fast it was such a relief for him to go back on the CPAP. We sure are proud of him for working so hard. They will be trying him again on the nasal cannula again soon we're sure. By the way, this is not uncommon, it takes awhile for preemies to get their lung strength up to be off the CPAP and on the nasal cannula.
In the meantime, please pray for his lungs to gain some strength. He is such a tough little guy and he really gives breathing on the nasal cannula his all. It would be nice if his lungs were a bit more cooperative.

Hi Kim, Stephen and Zachary,
What great news and progress Zachary is making. He is such a good little boy and so strong! He is gaining weight very nicely. That's such a good thing! We said prayers for him Friday night when we were at Temple. You are all in our thoughts and in our prayers. Please give little Zachary a kiss for us and tell him all about his family that loves him so very much. Much love to Mommy and Daddy too!

Bless his little heart...He is a fighter, and with time and further development to his lungs, he will be breathing like a pro with ease...no nothing, I am sure. I am continuously praying for him, for your both, and also for baby Brinson too :)
